Installation Instructions 
All Vista users install this patch after
installing the full program.
v14.1.87 Patch |
Click
the link to the left to install as a 30-day full trial.
Note: if you are already a licensed v14.1 user, the program will
still be fully licensed through your hardware key. Print and read the
instructions for details on installing the program. This version
will NOT overwrite v12.1. It will install as a new program with
a new icon. You will have the option of importing vendors from
v12.1 into v14.1.
Warning: This
file is 24MB in size, and requires a substantial amount of time to
download using a modem. With a 28.8kbps modem it could take over 3 hours to download this
file.

Go to this page to download the latest detail
files for those vendors that have been configured. Check this page
periodically to see if new vendor files have been added.

Security Key
File
|
This is the latest Install.exe file for the GDS
security keys, and is compatible with Windows
Vista. You can either Open or Save this file to both
uninstall and install the device drivers for the GDS security
keys. If you like, you can save this file to your
C:\EstWinV14\Security folder and replace the existing file. Run
this file to either uninstall or install drivers for the GDS
security keys. NOTE: Sometimes is may be necessary to Uninstall
the USB Dongle driver through the Control Panel - Device
Manager, then reboot before running the latest Install.exe file.

GDS v14.1.7 Full Trial

IMPORTANT: Only install this patch if you
are having trouble with v14.1.84 or later. Otherwise, uninstall your
current version and install the full trial v14.1.85, above. It is
always best to install the full program as apposed to a patch.
To Install this patch, click the
link to the left and select "Open" or "Run."
Then click the "UnZip" button to copy
the updated file for the GDS program.

GDSERRORS.MDB
|
Click on this link and select the Save option. When
the "Save As" window opens, select your C: drive and
then open your EstWinV14 folder. Click Save to save to this
folder.

GDSMASTER.MDB
|
Click on this link and select Save to download this
file to your C:\EstWinV14 folder. Then select Yes to replace the
existing file. NOTE: Only do this if you were instructed by
GDS support personnel, or if you are having unexplained trouble
opening the GDS program or processing a job. Be aware that
replacing this file in the GDS program will wipe out any changes
you have made to your Glass Table. This means you will need to
make the changes again after saving this default file.

v12.1.8
Install |
This is a zip file of the v12.1.8 CD. Unzip this file to a
temporary folder on your computer and run the Setup.exe file.
This will install the v12.1.8 GDS program. Make sure you have
your GDS v12.1.8 parallel key plugged into your computer when
you do this. You can also install the vendors by opening the
Vendor folder and finding the EXE file for the vendors of your
choice. |

v14.1.87 Patch
(Note: Updated - 10-16-07. You need to send us your hardware key before we can give
you a license code if you install this patch.) |
Run this patch if you are having trouble getting your Parallel or
USB to work with your v14 program. This patch will give you a
new 30-day trial to run the program. At this point you will need
to mail back the GDS key that you had trouble with, and we can
then contact you to license this newer version with a code. |

Southwest
DWG Zip |
You can Open/Run or Save this file. It is a self extracting Zip
file that will need the number of the vendor folder that
contains your Southwest Aluminum catalog. There is a ? in the
place where the vendor number needs to go when you run this
file. For example, if Southwest is in the Vend2 folder in your
GDS program, you will have to change the "Unzip to" line to
C:\EstWinV14\Vend2 and then click Unzip. Once the files are
unzipped, you will be able to see the details inside GDS. |
