History of Additions and Fixes to Previous
Version of WinBidPro v15
Fixes in v15.1.19
-
Fixed problem in Shopdrawing
window where elevations would overlap each other. (07-07-10)
-
Parts List Batch Update was
fixed so that replacing certain fields with zeros or blank
is now working. Replacing with number and text was working
fine, but the ability to blank, or zero out the fields was
not.
-
Job Notes field in the Final
Summary report was cutting off at 276 characters. The report
was reformatted to allow for roughly 700 characters.
-
Note fields in the System
Defaults window were not wrapping the lines of text that
were typed in. These will now wrap the lines.
-
Added code to prevent a \ key
in a job name.
-
Added code to create a folder
with the job name for the elevation CAD drawings.
-
Add validation for door height
& width and door frame height and width. Must be less than
200 inches. This prevents problems with the drawing if
mistakes are made with the door and door frame heights.
Fixes in v15.1.18
-
Fixed bug when a backed up job
is restored. The door leaf parts were not getting restored.
(05-20-10)
-
Changed the daily backup
feature to make sure the "vendor name old.bak" file gets
created for a vendor. (05-20-10)
-
Fixed bug where Vendor name was
not showing up on the Cut List report. (05-19-10)
-
Added feature for the last
vendor in use to be selected when the vendor list is opened
when starting the program. (05-17-10)
-
Fixed bug in Final Glass
Report with the “Change Price” tool. Was generating a
“run-time error 91” and not updating the price. (05-17-10)
-
Fixed a problem with the
Elevation Glass Report calculating the Block Size Total
Price incorrectly (05-06-10)
-
Fixed bug with Splits inside a
Window and Horizontals running through a Window. Also fixed
a bug with Door Head at a Window.
-
Fixed an unlikely bug in the
Final Glass form. Wasn't allowing a glass price to be
changed after an error was displayed.
-
Added a Tips button in the
Doors tab for important tips about doors and frames.
-
Fixed problem with glass stop
material when all four sides were not used.
-
Fixed problem with Alternate
Vertical material, where the Add/Deduct to verticals wasn't
getting applied.
-
Fixed a recent bug when using
a subframe entrance. The program was picking up door jamb
and door head material instead of vertical and horizontal
material for the opening. The cause was a syntax error in
the condition that tests for a subframe in one area of the
program.
-
Fixed problem where program
would not close properly after printing the Markup Report
from the Print Reports window. When program would not close
properly, it required Ending the Process in the Task Manager
or rebooting in order to run the program again.
-
Fixed problem where split
mullions in a window above a door where not cutting to the
right length if the door head was a different profile than a
horizontal. Also fixed a problem with the transom stop for
glass at the door head in the same situation.
Fixes in v15.1.17
-
Added code to only backup a
selected vendor one time per day.
-
Made change to Select Vendor
form to try and prevent Run-Time error when selecting a
different vendor. Not a consistent problem, but one
nonetheless.
-
Added Catalog Page column to
Parts List form to help with setting multipliers.
-
Fixed problem with joint
counts when entrances exist.
-
The Frame Area number don't
seem to be accounting for the portion of the door that
extends to the ground below the bulkhead, whenever a
bulkhead is used.
-
Improved the “Change Frame”
feature in the Jobs window so that each elevation in the job
is automatically redrawn when the framing system is changed
for the entire job. This ensures that the new parts are
included from the new framing system, and the old parts are
not. NOTE: You will still need to click the “Get Elevation
Parts” button in the Optimizer window and then click
Optimize to figure the new stock length counts!
-
When selecting a vendor to
work with, the backup process should only occur once a day.
NOTE: You may need to click the Vendor Tools option at the
top of the Vendors window, and select “Compact a Vendor
File” once a week or so you heavily use a specific vendor.
This will keep the program running efficiently and will make
the backup process quicker. Also remember, you can “Compact”
a vendor that you have not yet opened, not one that is
currently open.
Fixes in v15.1.16
-
WinBidPro will now Backup your
vendor database whenever you open it. This will occur once a
day, so you will find backup files in your vendor folder
with the day of the week at the end of the file name. We
still recommend backing up your entire vendor folder to an
external device as often as possible!
-
A note was added to the
drawing window whenever you add a new elevation. This
reminds new users that information like panels, height, and
width are required before continuing.
-
The Add Cut Piece window in
the Optimizer was enhanced to allow you to enter fractions
or decimals in the cut length field. It previously only
allowed decimal sizes.
-
Also in the Optimizer window,
the "Used" and "Drop" values were not accurately reflecting
the true material used and left over for each stock length.
These numbers now account for saw cut material loss, and
rounding to the nearest inch only happens with the total
value to show a whole number.
-
Fixed bug in Glass Stop tab of
drawing window that was showing glass stop records from
other jobs and elevations when a glass stop or glazing
adapter was added to or deleted from the current elevation.
-
Fixed Jobs window so that Edit
Job Glass button is grayed out until a job is selected.
-
Fixed Problem when adding
horizontal above the previous horizontal. Program was
finding more than a previous horizontal to reference, and
ending up with the wrong height.
-
Fixed Problem when trying to
Cancel out of Vendor window when starting program. Have to
select a vendor.
-
Fixed problem in the Glass
Table window where if you close the window after changing a
part without clicking on a different row first, it would not
save the part. The part will now get saved even if you don't
click on a different row.

Receptor columns from Framing System list. Also took out
Sort by UserID from Sort drop down.
-

from tools in Vendor window and when prompted.

splices.

footage for whole job for each elevation.

dimensions on drawing when 32nd precision is
selected. The fractional and Architectural dimensions will
be used instead.
-
Fixed bug when a door frame
with a subframe was in use, the transom glass was not being
dimensioned properly.
-
Fixed bug where Misc Labor
Rate was getting changed randomly in the Frame labor window.
-
Fixed bug that was causing
door stop material to double up with tall elevations.
-
Fixed bug when a split it
added in a window above a door with a sub frame, the split
was the wrong length because it was based on the profile of
the sub frame head, and not the horizontal directly above
it.
-
Fixed error that can occurs
when an invalid split is entered.
-
Fixed problem when using a
split with horizontals inside a window above a door
(transom). Lines would appear intersected at some
horizontals showing there was a problem. The program was
actually including too much horizontal material in this
situation.
